A shallow metal bowl filled to the brim is one of the simplest water features there is, and one of the most effective. Blue Thumb's Reflection Bowl is formed in brass and finished with an aged aqua patina, the blue-green tone that copper alloys take on outdoors over many years, so the fountain looks settled into the landscape from the day it is installed.
A low plume rises from the center, sends a ripple across the surface and overflows the rim evenly on all sides. The water then passes through a bed of pebbles into a reservoir buried beneath the bowl and is pumped back up. Because the bowl is only 12 to 14 inches tall, it keeps views open to plantings behind it and suits beds and borders where a tall fountain would block the view.
Two sizes are available: a 30-inch bowl over a 95-gallon basin, and a 40-inch bowl over a 220-gallon basin. Each is sold as a complete kit with the pump, plumbing, auto-refill device and black polished pebbles, and is made in the USA. The brass is not intended for saltwater use.

Installation & Ownership Notes
- The basin installs below grade; the bowl must sit perfectly level for water to spill evenly around the full rim.
- Use the flow-control valve to fine-tune the height of the center plume.
- Plan for an outdoor-rated outlet within reach of the 20-foot pump cord.
- Not recommended for saltwater applications.
- The patina is a living finish and may continue to develop outdoors.
